Due to the ongoing situation with coronavirus (also known as COVID-19), we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend our Wavelength education programme in schools and community settings, and to close our base in Inverness.

These changes, which will remain in place until further notice, have been made in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the young people we work with, along with our staff team.

While our face-to-face education work is suspended, we want to make sure that young people can continue to access clear, relevant information about sexual health and relationships from the Wave team.

I’m looking for support around sexual health. What can I do?

Online:

Although our Wavelength education sessions have been suspended, Wave continues to provide clear, relevant information about all aspects of sexual health through our website.

Check out the quick links on the home page for some of our most popular topics, or through the menu to find what you’re looking for.

Throughout this period, you can send any enquiries to us at hello@wavehighland.com and they will be passed on to a member of the team who will come back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you can find the contact details for individual members of staff here

I’m looking to get hold of free condoms. Where can I go?

Condoms and lube are available for free to under-25s from GPs, sexual health clinics and most pharmacies in Highland.

If you are under 16 and want free condoms, you may be asked a few questions to make sure that you are not at risk of harm, and that you understand how to use condoms correctly, but the service is confidential.

Use our service finder to find venues that offer free condoms near you, and find out more about accessing them from our FREE Condoms page.

When will Wavelength education sessions be available again?

We want to get things back up and running as soon as possible but, unfortunately, can’t say when that will be.

The situation with coronavirus is changing on an almost daily basis, and we are monitoring all of the guidance and advice coming from the Scottish Government and NHS.

We've made these changes to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the young people we work withand as soon as we know it is safe to resume the sessions, we will do so.
